First, pick your TNTET paper
The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test has two papers. Buy books only for the paper you are actually writing, so you do not waste money:
Paper 1 – for candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5.
Paper 2 – for candidates who want to teach Classes 6 to 8. Choose the Maths & Science book or the Social Science book based on your subject.
Many candidates write both papers. If that is you, buy the Paper 1 book plus the Paper 2 book for your subject.
